Netflix has announced a contest with the goal of “substantially improve the accuracy of predictions about how much someone is going to love a movie based on their movie preferences.” Basically, if you can come up with a solution that yields an accuracy rating 10% above their existing Cinematch recommendation system they’ll give you one million dollars.
